Yes. Every workshop and webinar listed on this page is free for any computer science teacher, with no CodeHS subscription required. Creating a teacher account is free too, and the CodeHS Free plan comes with an extensive catalog of courses you can start using with students right away.
No, but having one makes it easier to jump right in. You can create a free teacher account at codehs.com/signup/teacher, and there is time during the PD to set one up if you do not. If you already have a CodeHS account, register on Zoom with that same email so you receive the follow-up and the recording.
None. CodeHS free PD is built for teachers at every level, whether you are brand new to the classroom or 20 years in, and for teachers new to computer science as well as experienced CS teachers. Every session covers teaching strategies, content, and classroom resources that help you strengthen your practice.
Yes. Every free CodeHS PD workshop and webinar is recorded, and everyone who registered gets the recording afterward. You can also watch past sessions anytime in the CodeHS webinar archive or on the CodeHS YouTube channel.
Yes. Attending a live CodeHS free PD workshop or webinar earns a Certificate of Completion, which you can submit to your district. Certificates are based on the attendance record from the live session, so watching a recording afterward does not earn one.
AI notetakers may join CodeHS PD webinars to capture notes, but they must stay silent and may not post in chat or interact in any way. A disruptive notetaker will be removed. Certificates of completion and PD hours go only to educators who attend live, so a recording or an AI summary does not earn attendance credit.
